How to get from Panama City to Amistad National Park You could also visit the Bocas del Toro side of the park. To get to the Bocas del Toro side of the park you would go from David to Changuinola and then travel by car to El Silencio. To get From El Silencio to the Administration Center (of Amistad National Park) you travel by boat for about half an hour.

At over 6,000 feet above sea level you have to be prepared to exert yourself at a high altitude. In Panajungla, which is on the Bocas del Toro side, you can see many exotic birds and experience the jungle up close.
