Chagres

Only an hour from Panama City, Chagres National Park promises a fun time to all. The adventure begins with an exciting canoe ride down the Chagres river. The Chagres has some rapid currents so it makes for an exciting start. Along the way of course you can admire the tropical landscape and jungle splendors. We will soon be meeting the Embera Indians.

 Embera

The Embera are an indigenous people who have preserved their culture, traditions and way of life. They are known also for their handicraft. What a lot of people don't know is that the Embera have added many contributions to modern pharmaceuticals. You'll really enjoy their cultural dance and music and you can even paint yourself as they do with a natural fruit dye.

Along the trek you can also enjoy the vast amount of exotic flora and fauna found in the tropical jungle in Chagres National Park.

What You Should Bring With You

Dress in light sportswear with sandals or sport shoes. Bring a backpack and a change of clothes as well as sun block.
