Panama Camping

You will embark a fast launch in the late afternoon and travel along the Panama Canal. En route we may pass close to transiting ships. The shore is draped in a dense tropical growth. Exotic birds and animals can be seen in their native habitat. Our journey will take us off the beaten path to the only floating house on the lake. You will be arriving at a very special time of day. The jungle comes alive as the day-time animals bed down and the nocturnal creatures come out to play. What better way to witness this event while swinging in a hammock sipping a welcome aboard cocktail. Once darkness falls you will dine by candle light. Later if you are brave enough, we will head up river deeper into the dark jungle. With electric spot lights we will search for bats, crocodiles, and other things that go bump in the night. We can even visit a hidden destination where you can swim by torch light. Large dome tents with regular bedding will be your accommodations for the night. Come the next morning you can try your luck fishing for the world famous Peacock Bass, or paddle a kayak up the river in search of the newly awoken day-time animals and birds. Listen to the roars of the howler monkeys as you eat a tasty breakfast.
